There were several contenders reportedly with interest in JaVale McGee, but it’s looking like the enigmatic center is going to end up with the Boston Celtics:

The Celtics aren’t championship contenders, but they’re still in playoff contention in the weak Eastern Conference. Boston is two games out of the final playoff spot with a record of 24-35, and the Celtics could use another big man with Jared Sullinger out for the rest of the season.
McGee has barely played over the last few seasons due to injury, and he has been mostly a mess when he has played. Perhaps Boston thinks head coach Brad Stevens can help the big man turn his career around, or at the very least, get enough decent minutes out of him to help with depth in the frontcourt.
JaVale McGee will NOT be coming to the Celtics. The sides couldn't reach agreement on a contract.
