After playing in the second-most minutes in the exhibition All-Star Game, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has decided he’s not healthy enough to play the rest of the season.
From ESPN’s Marc Stein:
ESPN sources say that Knicks will officially rule Carmelo Anthony out for rest of the season later Wednesday

Anthony will undergo knee surgery to repair his ailing knee that has bothered him all season. Some Knicks fans will be happy with the news, as it only helps the Knicks get closer to that No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft. Others will be disappointed that Anthony can play as much as he did in the All-Star Game, yet now he feels he can’t continue.
Add to the evidence of tanking that commissioner Adam Silver must address.
