March Madness is upon us friends. The is the lovely time of the year when bracket selections take deep overthinking only to be quickly busted and hurled in the trash due to an upset. One of the first upsets comes in the form of a game-winning three when No. 14 seed Georgia State defeated No. 3 seed Baylor. This shot likely brought many who watched to their feet, but if you’re coaching the team and it was your son who hit the dagger, you might have reacted like this:
Georgia State coach Ron Hunter said afterwards, “I know I broke something else, but it doesn’t even matter.” Remember, this is the coach who tore his Achilles celebrating a Sun Belt title, which is why he was in the chair to begin with.
And somewhere, Doc Rivers is cursing himself and asking “why can’t MY SON be more like this?”
