USA White Beats USA Blue in Scrimmage, 134-128

While many of the top stars sat out of the USA Basketball Showcase scrimmage on Thursday night in Las Vegas, there were still a good amount of highlights in USA White’s 134-128 victory over USA Blue.

DeMarcus Cousins led the way for USA White, pouring in 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Mason Plumlee also had a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Every single player except for Draymond Green scored in double figures for USA White, and two of Blake Griffin‘s 15 points were on this ridiculous dunk:


Andre Drummond (27 points, 16 rebounds) and Harrison Barnes (21 points, 10 rebounds) both had double-doubles for USA Blue, while Victor Oladipo added 25 points. Oladipo also did this:


Bonus points for that little shimmy.

And most importantly, nobody got seriously injured a la Paul George last summer. In fact, the stanchions for the baskets were moved back two and a half feet to avoid a similar injury. Good job, USA Basketball. Way to play it safe.
