While most people have figured Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor would be the top two picks in the 2015 NBA Draft, there have also been plenty of rumors going around that the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers were possibly considering other players. But now the rumors are saying what most people have expected all along:

Yep. RT @chadfordinsider Hearing Lakers settling in on Jahlil Okafor at No. 2. Told 70-30 they'd take him on Friday. Up to 80-20 today.

This is what made sense once the lottery happened, and it still makes sense now. Towns is the consensus top player in the draft, while Okafor was considered the top player before Towns overtook him. There may be some concerns about the viability of the Okafor/Julius Randle frontcourt, but the Lakers may as well take Okafor and figure it out from there.
In other Wolves news, Anthony Bennett is on the trading block, because of course he is:
ESPN sources say that, in advance of Thursday's draft, Minnesota has made former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett available via trade

I can’t imagine what Minnesota would get for Bennett, but perhaps some team is willing to take a gamble on the 2013 No. 1 pick.
