Golden State Warriors star and reigning MVP Stephen Curry has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Curry led the Warriors to a 4-0 record last week, averaging 30.8 points, 6.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 50.6 percent overall and 39.5 percent from long range.
The week included his fourth game of at least 40 points this season. He put up 40 in a rousing comeback victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night. That came after a 37-point showing against the Toronto Raptors.
Over in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James took home his first Player of the Week Award of the year.
The Cavaliers went 2-1 last week, and James averaged 25.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists in the three games. He shot 57.1 percent overall and 60 percent from three. His highest scoring output of the week actually came in a loss when he dropped 30 points on the Detroit Pistons.
