We’re running out of superlatives to describe the play of Stephen Curry. The reigning MVP winner put up a 40-burger in the opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, and then he one-upped himself on Saturday night, going for an absurd 53 points in a 134-120 victory over the Pellies.
Curry went 17-of-27 overall and 8-of-14 from three. 28 of his points came in the third quarter:
Per @EliasSports, Stephen Curry's 28 points in the third quarter are the most scored in a quarter since Klay Thompson's NBA-record 37 points

Oh, Curry also had nine assists and four steals. The man is a cheat code:
Just give him another MVP right now. This is ridiculous.
