Westbrook missed the Thunder’s victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, but it looks like he should return to the court soon. Oklahoma City needs him as they try to secure a playoff berth, especially with Kevin Durant ailing as well. The Thunder are 33-27 and a half-game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Westbrook has been carrying Oklahoma City in Durant’s absence, as the point guard has notched a triple-double in three consecutive games and averaged a triple-double in seven games without the reigning MVP in February. Westbrook nearly averaged a triple-double in the entire month of February.
