Russell Westbrook Records Triple-Double

Russell Westbrook did Good Russell Westbrook things on Friday night, posting his first triple-double of the year with 17 points, a career-high 17 assists and 15 rebounds in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 117-115 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Of course every win is important for the Thunder at this point, who are still trying to find a way into the playoffs after battling injuries to Westbrook and Kevin Durant. This one over the Warriors might be enough to give the team confidence moving forward as new pieces gel together.

Westbrook had no issue gelling tonight. He’s just the fifth player to record 15 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in the same game in the last 30 years. It was his ninth career triple double.

The Thunder now sit at 19-20, three games behind the Phoenix Suns for the 8th seed in the West.

We found our fan tweet of the night regarding Westbrook’s performance:
