It looks like Russell Westbrook will only miss one game after undergoing facial surgery, as Westbrook is expected to return to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski. Westbrook will wear a mask to protect his face.
Westbrook suffered the injury when diving for a loose ball in the waning moments of the Thunder’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. The electric guard had surgery on Saturday and missed the win over the Los Angeles Lakers the next day.
With Westbrook likely returning against the Sixers, he’ll try and notch a triple-double in a fourth consecutive game. Westbrook will have to do it again without Kevin Durant, who’s still nursing a foot injury:
Brooks says Durant will be reevaluated "in a week or so."

Durant was sidelined just over a week ago after having another procedure done on his surgically repaired foot. The reigning MVP has dealt with injuries nearly all season, and Westbrook has used that to his advantage to get into the MVP conversation.
However, the Thunder are still in a tight battle for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Oklahoma City has just a one-game lead over the New Orleans Pelicans for the No. 8 seed.
