Late last night, Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski dropped his patented #WojBomb when he reported that despite the Sacramento Kings ownership holding firm on not trading All Star center DeMarcus Cousins, new head coach George Karl is heavily pushing for it.
According to the report, Karl is trying to recruit player and vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac in order to convince owner Vivek Ranadive that making the trade is necessary.
The Lakers are reportedly on top of the list for trading for Cousins, who can offer something involving the No. 2 pick in the draft, later picks at No. 27 and No. 34, as well as young players such as Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle.
Woj says there is a growing belief that the relationship between Karl and Cousins is ‘irreparable’.
Cousins has been an advocate for the fired Michael Malone, and Karl wasn’t able to replicate the relationship when he took over in the final weeks of the season.
Cousins tweeted this out after the news broke, apparently referring to Karl as a snake.

It’s also mentioned that the Kings are more willing to move Rudy Gay to clear cap space to go after free agent Rajon Rondo, who holds a mutual interest in the team on a one-year deal.
Cousins averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds per game last season.
