Report: Danilo Gallinari Finalizing Two-Year Extension with Nuggets

Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari is finalizing a two-year extension with the team, according to Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal is reportedly worth $34 million and includes a pay raise of $2.5 million in 2015-16 compared to $11.5 million he was scheduled to make. Gallinari will make $15.5 million in 2016-17, and has a $16.1 million player option for a third year.

By moving guard Ty Lawson to the Houston Rockets over the weekend, Denver was able to free up enough cap space for the extension.

Gallinari averaged 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists on a little more than 24 minutes on the floor per game last season.
