Paul George Suffers Calf Strain in Pacers’ Final Game of Season

It was quite the uplifting story to see Indiana Pacers star Paul George return this season from the gruesome leg injury he suffered last summer with Team USA Basketball. While George clearly wasn’t himself, he contributed to the Pacers making a push to the playoffs, although that push fell just short with a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

In that loss to the Grizzlies, George suffered an injury scare when he had to be carried off the floor with an apparent injury to his left leg, the leg he didn’t break last year. Indiana called the injury a sore left calf, but he soon had to be carried to the locker room because he couldn’t put any weight on his leg.

George said he felt a pop in his calf, but he doesn’t believe the injury is that serious:

The fact that there was a pop certainly doesn’t sound good, however, George seemed to be in good spirits on Twitter after the game:

Hopefully this injury is truly nothing serious and George can put in plenty of hard work in the summer in order to be ready go to full bore for the 2015-16 season.
