Apparently it’s a bad time to be an NBA player in Georgia. Right after Mike Scott was arrested on felony drug charges in Georgia, new Indiana Pacers big man Jordan Hill was busted for reckless driving:

Pacers president Larry Bird issued a statement on the arrest:

Indiana signed Hill earlier this offseason to help shore up its frontcourt after trading Roy Hibbert to the Los Angeles Lakers and losing David West to the San Antonio Spurs, and there’s a good chance the 28-year-old finds himself in the starting lineup. This certainly isn’t the best first impression, though.
Hill spent the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he saw the most playing time of his career last year. He started 57 of 70 games, averaging 12 points and 7.9 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game.
