NBA Free Agency Winners and Losers

Free agency season is already almost over, and no one has officially even signed yet. This is in total contrast to last year while everyone waited for weeks for LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony to decide where they were going.

Some teams improved themselves a lot. Some got eaten by locusts. Some decided it would be fun to see how far they could lower the IQ bar. And there were some that barely did anything at all.

There are a few teams who have been discussed a lot, but it’s really difficult to call them “winners” in free agency. For example, the Miami Heat did nothing more than essentially hold serve on a team that missed the playoffs.

There are teams like the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls who you could almost forget existed based on what they have — or rather haven’t — done in free agency.

Bear in mind, this isn’t a “power rankings.” It’s teams that helped or hurt themselves through free agency or trades during the free agency season.
