NBA Free Agency: Christian Wood Agrees to Deal With 76ers, Dahntay Jones to Nets

Undrafted free agent Christian Wood appeared to be headed to the Houston Rockets this summer, but instead the young big man is joining the Philadelphia 76ers, according to his agent, Matt Ramker.

Wood was one of the biggest names to go undrafted in 2015. The youngster out of UNLV had some first-round buzz at one point, but his stock fell before the draft before he wasn’t selected at all.

Wood averaged 15.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in his sophomore season at UNLV. The 6’11 19-year-old has a ton of talent, so it makes sense for the Sixers to take a chance on him:

Elsewhere in the Atlantic Division, the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with NBA veteran Dahntay Jones, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jones spent time in the D-League and with the Los Angeles Clippers last season, appearing in 33 games with the Clippers but not contributing much. The 34-year-old will battle with a host of other players for the last roster spots in Brooklyn.
