Utah Jazz fans weren’t exactly bummed when Enes Kanter was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. While a talented offensive player, Kanter was a sieve on the defensive end, something Rudy Gobert definitely isn’t. After asking for a trade right before the All-Star break, Kanter got his wish.
Just like in Utah, Kanter has been a solid offensive player in Oklahoma City. Excellent, really. The big man even put up a career-high 30 points on Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks. Too bad it came in a 135-131 loss, a loss that happened because Kanter and the Thunder couldn’t protect the rim at all.
While Kanter has been great offensively for the Thunder, the team has been awful defensively with him on the floor, and Jazz fans are nodding their heads:
Looks like another game where Kanter gets his stats and a L

I'm so glad people who never watched Jazz games are finally realizing things about Kanter that those of us who do have known for years.

And here’s a tweet from a Thunder guy:
@Ben_Dowsett if Amar'e played against him every night he'd get another $100M contract this summer.

Amar’e Stoudemire had 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting in just 20 minutes on Wednesday. The Mavericks finished with a whopping 72 points in the paint, and while it wasn’t ALL Kanter’s fault, he played a big part in it. Considering what Kanter recently said about the Jazz organization, I’m sure many other Jazz fans are enjoying the Thunder’s defensive misery.
