The Chicago Bulls pulled off an improbable come-from-behind victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night, withstanding 43 points from Russell Westbrook despite Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson all sitting out with injuries.
Nikola Mirotic had a team-high 26 points, with 14 of those coming in the fourth quarter, but the hero of the night turned out to be E’Twaun Moore. The rarely used guard had 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting (What?!), and he capped off his brilliant performance with a game-winning three-pointer, which gave him 13 fourth-quarter points:
What a beautiful play. https://t.co/Qnhtkrjjhn

Moore’s shot, and night in general, prompted our Tweet of the Night:
Banish Hinrich to the well. Smooge for president.

Smooge would be Moore’s nickname, which he apparently has had since his college days at Purdue, or maybe even longer than that. I honestly have no idea. Either way, it’s a pretty funny nickname, and this was one hell of a performance by the 26-year-old. And I agree, banish Kirk Hinrich to the well, er, bench.
