NBA Announces 2016 Finals Schedule

Bob Donnan/USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 NBA Finals are obviously a long time away, but the league has announced the schedule for the games:

What’s notable here is that there are now two days off in between all games when travel is required. Last year, there was only one day off between Games 2 and 3 (traveling from Golden State to Cleveland), and then one day off between Games 5 and 6 (again, going from Golden State to Cleveland), so this should make it a bit easier travel wise.

And for more comparison, last season’s Finals would’ve run from June 4-19 if the series went all seven games. The 2016 Finals would go from June 2-19 if the series went the distance. So the start of the Finals are simply being moved up a few days.
