Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley Jr. is now questionable to play in tonight’s Game 2, and head coach Dave Joerger believes if he doesn’t play tonight then he will play in Game 3.
Conley underwent surgery to repair broken bones in his face and has missed the last three games.
Joerger says if Conley Jr. plays, he will start. The Grizzlies desperately need him.
Memphis turned to Nick Calathes to start and Beno Udrih off the bench. With both Calathes and Tony Allen in the lineup, it’s even tougher than usual for the Grizzlies to score. He’s also missed in guarding the combination of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson with Allen. Conley’s been an underrated part to the Grizzlies’ success for years.
It’s a tough task no matter what. Golden State already leads 1-0, and is 39-2 at home this season, including 21 straight wins.
