JaVale McGee has had problems staying healthy in his career, and he only played in 23 games this past season between the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers. McGee is still looking for a new home, and it appears the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers have the most interest:
Sources close to JaVale McGee say he's focused on getting healthy. Several teams have shown interest. Mavs, Lakers seem like frontrunners.

The Mavericks already have 15 guaranteed contracts on the team, so any deal with them would be a camp deal. The Lakers only have 12 guaranteed deals and two non-guaranteed players in Tarik Black and Jabari Brown, but it’s no sure thing that Los Angeles would put a guaranteed deal on the table for McGee.
Not only did McGee only play in 23 games last year, but he only played in five games the year before that. He’s definitely right to focus on getting to 100 percent health so he can try to prove to a team he deserves a roster spot.
