The NBA announced Wednesday that the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors will play a regular-season game in London on Jan. 14.
This will be the sixth regular-season game played at the O2 Arena in London. The first ever regular-season game held in London was between the Raptors and New Jersey Nets on March 4, 2011. The Nets won that game and the rematch the next day.
The next regular-season game in London was between the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons on Jan. 17, 2013. The Knicks won that game, but lost the game played in London last year on Jan. 15 against the Milwaukee Bucks. The other London regular-season game took place between the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets on Jan. 16, 2014. The Nets won in a high-scoring affair.
New Magic head coach Scott Skiles participated in an exhibition game in London in 1993 when he played for Orlando, and now he’ll return for the first time as a coach.
