Atlanta Hawks sharpshooter Kyle Korver suffered a broken nose in Sunday night’s 91-86 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Korver stayed in Los Angeles to have his nose examined, and there’s currently no timetable for his return to action, according to Baxter Holmes of ESPN Los Angeles.
Korver suffered the injury when he took a shoulder to the face from Lakers big man Ed Davis in the second quarter. The 33-year-old left the game immediately and didn’t return.
Korver is having a career year for the Hawks, averaging 12.4 points while shooting 49.6 percent overall and 50.1 percent from three. He’s flirting with a historic season, as Steve Kerr is the only other player NBA in history to shoot at least 50 percent overall, 50 percent from three and 90 percent from the free throw line while playing significant minutes.
INJURY UPDATE: Kyle Korver will miss the rest of the road trip (3 games) after undergoing a procedure to repair a broken nose today.
