Less than a month ago, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant took to Instagram to reveal that he was back on the court shooting. Now, Bryant has been medically cleared for all basketball activities, according to Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report.
Bryant suffered his third consecutive season-ending injury last season when he tore his right rotator cuff in January. This came after a torn Achilles and a fractured knee the prior two seasons.
But now Bryant is ready to roll again for what could be his final NBA season. This is the last year of Bryant’s massive two-year, $48 million contract, and there have been plenty of whispers going around that he’ll be done after 2015-16.
Before Bryant got hurt last season, he wasn’t very good, averaging 22.3 points but shooting just 37.3 percent overall and 29.3 percent from three. It didn’t help that he took on a bigger minutes burden than he should have, and the Lakers plan to cut down his playing time. It’ll also help that Los Angeles has a bit more talent on the roster to take pressure off him.
