There’s been plenty of turnover in the Sacramento Kings’ front office of late, and the team officially announced some changes on Monday night. Vlade Divac, who was hired in March as the Vice President of Basketball and Franchise Operations, is now officially the Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager.
Divac quickly became the Kings’ leading basketball operations decision-maker after taking his position, and now he has the official job titles to prove it.
In addition to Divac getting an official promotion, Peja Stojakovic, Divac’s former teammate in Sacramento, is now a member of the organization as the Director of Player Personnel and Development. Stojakovic will also be the General Manager of the Reno Bighorns, the Kings’ D-League affiliate.
Finally, Mike Bratz has been named Assistant General Manager and Roland Beech is the new Vice President of Basketball Strategy and Data Science. Bratz has been a member of the front office for two years, while Beech is coming over from the Dallas Mavericks to head up the Kings’ analytics department after Dean Oliver was let go.
