Philadelphia 76ers rookie big man Jahlil Okafor has been suspended two games for an incident that occurred last week in Boston, the team announced Wednesday.
Okafor was caught on video getting into multiple fights last Wednesday night outside a Boston bar. He wasn’t suspended after the first video surfaced on Thanksgiving, but now the team has decided to take action. Philadelphia released this statement:

The Sixers are at Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, so Okafor will miss that game and the next contest against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. Philadelphia won its first game of the season over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, with the young big man going for 12 points and five rebounds.
Okafor is averaging 17.2 points and 8.1 rebounds in 32.8 minutes per game. The 19-year-old is shooting 46 percent from the field and also blocking 1.6 shots per contest in his rookie campaign.
