Former NBA All-Star and do-it-all player Andrei Kirilenko’s NBA career appears to be over as the 34-year-old signed a deal with CSKA Moscow, returning to his homeland of Russia for the rest of the year.
Kirilenko, who was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers after never playing a game for them, says it’s time to start thinking about ending his career, and he wants to do so in Russia.
AK-47 made the most of his career in Utah, where he made the All-Star team in 2003-04. That year, he averaged 16.5 points per game in addition to 8.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.8 blocks.
His career ended with the 76ers after an early-season trade from the Brooklyn Nets. Kirilenko also played one season for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
