The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the eligible candidates for the Class of 2016 on Monday. Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson and Yao Ming are among the most notable candidates.

The Hall of Fame just recently changed their eligibility requirements for induction, which now allows potential honorees to be enshrined earlier than before.

Looking ahead, the finalists from the North American and Women’s committee for the Class of 2016 will be announced during All-Star Weekend in Toronto on Feb. 12. The entire class will then be unveiled at the Final Four in Houston on April 4.

The Class of 2016 will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame in early September, with various events scheduled to be held Sept. 8-10.
