Glen Davis is in discussions to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, but there’s no deal yet. If there’s no deal at all with any NBA team, Davis could wind up playing overseas, according to Sportando’s Emiliano Carchia.
Davis joined the Clippers in the 2013-14 season after getting bought out by the Orlando Magic. He appeared in 74 games last year as part of the disappointing Clippers’ bench, averaging 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 45.9 percent from the field in 12.2 minutes per game.
Los Angeles has brought in several new pieces in an attempt bolster its bad bench, including Josh Smith and Cole Aldrich in the frontcourt. Bringing back Davis at the minimum for depth purposes would be a perfectly fine move, although perhaps Davis is looking for a bit more money and a bigger role.
If Davis ends up overseas, he could join the Chinese League or head to Europe and play in one of the top divisions over there.
