Cousins had 24 points and 12 rebounds against the Hawks, but he shot just 7-of-20 in the 103-97 defeat and now has to sit out the Kings’ Thursday night tilt against the Miami Heat. This is unfortunate because it means we’re robbed of a highly entertaining matchup between Cousins and Hassan Whiteside.
Cousins has already missed four games this season due to an Achilles injury, and the results weren’t pretty for Sacramento. The Kings lost all four of those games, and it’ll be a tall order to beat a good Heat squad on the road without Cousins.
Cousins is averaging 27.5 points and 11.1 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game this season. He’s shooting just 43.1 percent overall, but he’s knocking down 41.2 percent of his three-pointers and getting to the line over 11 times per game.
