DeAndre Jordan Apologizes to Mark Cuban, Mavericks

DeAndre Jordan left the Dallas Mavericks high and dry when he reneged on his verbal commitment with them in order to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, and a big deal was made of the way Jordan handled the situation. Specifically, Jordan left Mavericks owner Mark Cuban in the dark, avoiding Cuban on Tuesday and completely refusing to communicate with him on Wednesday before ultimately signing the new deal that night.

Jordan took to Twitter to apologize to Cuban and the Mavericks for how things played out:

Jordan really didn’t have to apologize for having a change of heart. That happens all the time, and this was a huge decision. But at least he gave the general apology for how everything went down. It seems clear he’d made up his mind to go back to the Clippers before the craziness on Wednesday, and he owed it to Cuban to let him know what was going on.
