Miami Heat star Chris Bosh is out for the rest of the season due to a scary case of blood clots on one of his lungs, but the basketball world got some great news when the team announced that Bosh is expected to be ready for next season.
Here’s the full release from Heat.com:
The Miami HEAT, Thoracic Surgeon Dr. John DeRosimo and team Cardiologist Dr. Ed Neff released the following statement on the health of Chris Bosh.
Chris Bosh will be re-evaluated this month, and if cleared, may begin regular exercise at that time with plans to start strength training next month. He is scheduled to resume full basketball activities in September.
Bosh returned to AmericanAirlines Arena on Monday and spoke to the media before the Heat’s game against the Boston Celtics, stressing patience during his recovery. He also addressed his home crowd before the game and received a standing ovation:
Bosh: "I want to thank each and every one of you for the love and support. I'm happy to be right here where I belong, with all of you."
