Parsons last played on Feb. 20 against his former team, the Houston Rockets. The Mavericks won their first two games without him, but that was then followed up by four losses in five games, the last a 104-89 shellacking at the hands of the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
Parsons was struggling before the injury, but the once-potent Dallas offense has gone into a rut of late, and the Mavericks could certainly use the 26-year-old back in the lineup. The forward is averaging 15.4 points and 4.8 rebounds on the season while shooting 45.1 percent overall and 37.5 percent from three.
Dallas will have a great opportunity to get right against the the Lakers, who sit at 16-45 on the season. The Mavericks are now 40-24 and in danger of slipping to the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference.
