The Wizards’ new alternate uniforms are very patriotic and cool

The Washington Wizards have unveiled a new alternate uniform that’ll debut this upcoming season, and they’re very patriotic and also quite sharp. The uniforms are aptly named “Stars and Stripes” thanks to the nods to the American flag:

This is part of the Wizards’ efforts to honor the military, which also includes a special “Tickets for Troops” donation program:

Leidos will also continue to support the “Tickets for Troops” donation program which gives Wizards season ticket members the opportunity to donate their unused game tickets to USO service members as well as the “Defending the Rim” platform. As part of that initiative, Leidos will donate $100 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation for every block made by a Wizards player. Last season, Leidos donated $32,000 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

These new uniforms will be worn for six games in the 2016-17 season:

Fri., Nov. 11 vs Cleveland Cavaliers@ 7 p.m. – National Guard

Wed., Dec. 14 vs Charlotte Hornets @ 7 p.m. – Air Force

Wed., Jan. 18 vs Memphis Grizzlies @ 7 p.m. – Marines

Fri., Feb. 10 vs Indiana Pacers @ 8 p.m. – Army
